PaperIQ, a proven technical innovator and one of the fastest growing Anoto service providers, is delighted to announce the release of PaperIQ Enterprise Server. The PaperIQ Enterprise Server platform has been developed from the ground up with a strong focus on enterprise security, scalability and manageability. This release offers enterprise customers the following key features in addition to those already offered by PaperIQ:

• Enterprise Forms and Enterprise Notes in a single server platform
• Secure installation within the corporate firewall
• Scalable to multiple servers including failover support
• Increased forms usability through support for Anoto Unique Pattern
• Award-winning PaperIQ BlackBerry device software
• Integration with BlackBerry Enterprise Server through IT Policies
• Covelus Configuration Server support providing additional compatibility with Symbian, Java and Windows Mobile device platforms

“In early 2006 it became clear to us that many large enterprises interested in digital pen technology in sectors such as healthcare, finance, police and local government were interested in licensing the PaperIQ platform to install in-house due to the sensitive nature of the data being transmitted. In addition to this, many users of PaperIQ’s popular “Digital Pen for BlackBerry” notebook product were asking us to licence a secure enterprise notes server that could be installed internally to provide a company-wide notebook solution.” said Robert Bakewell, Commercial Director for PaperIQ. “To address this significant market opportunity we decided to not only make it easier for customers to license our platform for installation in their own data centres, but also re-architect the platform to provide the high levels of security and scalability that these sectors require. With early orders from the financial and public sectors, PaperIQ are encouraging other enterprise customers interested in Digital Pen and Paper technology to take advantage of a free 60-day evaluation licence”.

Commenting on the technical capabilities of PaperIQ’s new Enterprise Server product, James Shannon, Technical Director and architect of the PaperIQ software platform said “We wanted to provide enterprises with a platform that would not only integrate seamlessly with their existing business processes and systems, but also scale with their needs as usage of digital pen and paper propagated the organisation. Our core focus was to therefore architect a platform that would provide significant value out-of-the-box yet be easily customised to integrate with existing enterprise systems. Our second focus, although equally important, was to deliver features that increase the usability and manageability of digital pen and paper solutions. The integration of Anoto Unique Pattern support provides this increased usability whilst our seamless integration with BlackBerry Enterprise Server and Covelus Configuration Server deliver high levels of manageability across large numbers of devices across diverse mobile platforms.”
